The Bible mentions tin 5 times. It is included with gold and silver so it must have been quite special. The Phoenicians of Tyre and Sidon traded tin from the British Isles. Ezekiel 27: 12 says they acquired tin from a trader or merchant named Tarnish which is interesting because tin does not tarnish.
