People are surprised to see items in an 18th century tinsmith shop that they recognize as items from their modern kitchen.  The cake ring that reminds them of a spring form pan or a reflector oven that you place in front of the fire and "set it and forget it" is the Ron Popiel rotisserie.  Here is a new item to add to the list that is quite old.  The Coupe-pâte was listed as an inventory item that Cadillac imported to Fort Ponchartrain in 1702. Actually there were two. They were also found in the Kitchen at Fortress louisbourg in 1744.  So what did they look like?
